I-74 Corridor Counties Join Forces
Dearborn County’s effort to work collaboratively with natural economic development partners has expanded with the introduction of an I-74 Corridor initiative.
A new, comprehensive economic development website will soon be in place to tout the benefits of establishing or relocating a business operation to one of the participating counties located along an 80-mile stretch between Indianapolis and Cincinnati. In addition to Dearborn County, participants include Shelby, Rush, Decateur, Ripley and Franklin counties and the City of Batesville. Each county’s website section will feature photos and other information. The Dearborn County Economic Development Initiative is coordinating Dearborn’s participation and emphasizing two tax increment financing (TIF) districts in West Harrison and St. Leon in its promotion.

Buy Dearborn and Get Great Value
“Buy Dearborn” is the Chamber’s message to residents and businesses because buying products and services from their neighbors makes so much sense and provides so much value. Buying Dearborn is convenient and buying from someone you know and trust offers peace of mind. In addition, the dollars stay in the local economy and that impacts jobs and the tax base. The Chamber’s web site www.DearbornCountyChamber.org as well as www.BuyDearborn.com list Chamber member businesses and organizations and their company profile and contact information. Members are urged to make sure their profile information is up-to-date. Also, members can post “hot deals” in a special section at no charge.
