Dearborn County’s road system includes 8 state highways and 2 U.S. highways. I-275 enters Indiana near Lawrenceburg and offers easy connection to I-71 and I-75. At the northern end of the county, I-74 connects us with Indianapolis to the west and Cincinnati to the east.
Dearborn County also has excellent infrastructure already in place, with more being built in the rural areas of the county. We have 9 sewer facilities, 7 water companies, 4 electric companies, 3 gas companies, and 4 telephone companies. Each township in the county has its own fire department, while there are also 7 police locations and a county sheriff’s office.
The county has four rail lines that are beneficial with all of our manufacturing operations. Dearborn County also has excellent port facilities due to the proximity of the Ohio River. Even our local “Catch a Ride” system makes Dearborn County an excellent candidate for you to Build your home or business.
